Automated Optical Image Analysis of Iron Ore Sinter
نویسندگان
چکیده
Sinter quality is a key element for stable blast furnace operation. strength and reducibility depend considerably on the mineral composition associated textural features. During sinter optical image analysis (OIA), it important to distinguish different morphologies of same such as primary/secondary hematite, types silico-ferrite calcium aluminum (SFCA). Standard red, green blue (RGB) thresholding cannot effectively segment one from another. The Commonwealth Scientific Industrial Research Organization’s (CSIRO) OIA software Mineral4/Recognition4 incorporates unique identification module allowing various textures/morphologies be discriminated. Together with other capabilities software, this feature was used examination iron ore sinters where ability hematite (primary versus secondary), morphological sub-types SFCA (platy prismatic), common phases magnetite, larnite, glass remnant aluminosilicates crucial quantifying petrology. Three samples were examined. Visual comparison showed very high correlation between manual automated phase identification. results also gave correlations point counting, X-ray Diffraction (XRD) Fluorescence (XRF) results. classification performed by Recognition4 potential deep understanding properties changes under sintering conditions.

متن کاملGamma Spectrometric Analysis of Iron Ore Samples of Arak, Iran
Introduction Iron ore is one of the most important natural raw materials that is widely used for manufacturing iron and steel. This type of ore contains various amounts of radionuclides; thus, exposing workers handling their extraction, transportation, and processing to radiation. Materials and Methods In this study, 12 ore samples (each mass weighing about 2 kg) were collected from the iron or...

S. T. Yang, M. Zhou, T. Jiang, X. X. Xue, P. N. Duan, W. J. Zhang: School of Metallurgy, Northeastern University, China Melting behavior is the precondition of liquid phase reaction, which is the foundation of sinter consolidation. Melting property measurement and sinter pot test were adopted to determine the melting temperature and strength of sinter with 13 % and 40 % vanadium-titanium ore ad...
متن کاملRock mass structural data analysis using image processing techniques (Case study: Choghart iron ore mine northern slopes)
Presence of joints and fractures in rocks strongly influences the behavior of the rock mass by dividing the media into smaller units. These structures intensify the potential instability besides the development of sliding and rotational movements. The assumption of discontinuum media changes the whole analysis conditions in relation to the continuum analysis. Acquisition of geometrical and stru...
